Brave new essay

In the story a brave new world we meet a few characters that think differently than their actions. One character in particular stood out to me the most and it was John. The reason for this is because he stood out to me, he was the only one born like us and not made in a lab so he has a sense to what a family relationship feels like. He was also born in New Mexico where all the “savages” are from but even there he didn’t fit in because everyone hated him and his mom because they were the only ones acting (in our eyes) like “normal” people. Kids hated him for that growing up, so John doesn’t fit in either society.
Through out the book from his childhood to his love life when he loves a women like his mom or Lenina they don’t really show the same kind of love back. He finds himself loving lenina but he knows that the way she grew up she wouldn’t be able to commit in a relationship because she is just attracted to him sexually. Later in the book he gets sent away from the brave new world and he accepts it and goes to an island with a light house on it and decided to stay in there.
In the final chapter of the book we see John whipping himself because he wants to forget lenina and whatever feelings he had for her and you could imagine this is a very dramatic scene of him trying to move on. Later someone see’s him, records him and shows everyone the video. The next day a crowd  of people go to the lighthouse chanting “we want the whip”. As John goes outside to see the crowd he sees Lenina she tries to tell him something but can’t hear so he whips her and everyone starts cheering yelling “orgy porgy”. After the whole night is done and Lenina is dead from being whipped so much John remembers everything and decides to hang himself.
